Years ago all of my close music friends moved away (to places like Las Vegas) the only outlet I had for playing out was to hit the local open mics. I showed up one night to a local open mic in Chicago Heights IL Just south of Chicago at a bar called Tzars. It was hosted by Biscuit of Biscuit and the Mix and also the bass player for Ronnie Baker Brooks. He was a friend at the time thanks to Joe and Corey. I had not played out in some time, and am not very good to begin with, I just wanted to have some fun and told Biscuit I can wait till the end of the list and play during the open mic “garbage time”. That night Stan Skibby and his band was there, which was a treat! What does Biscuit do? He called me up there to play with Stan! Top that off with Stan called out to do “Hey Joe”….I was petrified to say the least. I had no business being up there with them. Thankfully I knew the song as we used to play it in the band so I hoped to get by with just filling in quietly in the background and not make a complete ass of myself. That was not to be….as when it came time for the solo Stan called me out to take it! The shit just about hit my pants, but somehow I pulled off a pretty decent solo and got thru it, and at the end of the song we got a great round of applause, and Stan complimented me on the solo, a truely class act! That was my 15 min….I’ll never forget it for sure.

I have a madeira a-32 SB that I am selling.
It is in fairly good shape ,couple of nics on body and headstock,I bought this guitar new sometime in the 80s,
I have installed a lrbrags element under sadle pick up with pre amp on this guitar a few years ago.
